Australian High Commissioner paid courtesy call on Sunyani Paramount Chief.

Mr Gregory Andrews, the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana and his entourage on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on Nana Bosoma Asor-Nkrawiri II, the Paramount Chief of Sunyani Traditional Area and President of the Sunyani Traditional Council.

The Diplomatic visit led by Mr Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer of Suncity radio was to familiarised himself with the Paramount Chief and elders of Sunyani as part of preparation towards the inauguration of a “Youth Development Training Project in Sunyani”.

The project, dubbed “SYDA Integrated Sewing Project” initiated and implemented by the Sunyani Youth Development Association (SYDA) was funded by the Australian government through their Direct Aid Program and would be inaugurated on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.

Speaking at the Paramount chief’s residence, Mr. Gregory expressed his outfit and for that matter the Australian government’s readiness to support the actualisation of developmental initiatives of Ghanaian youth to facilitate speedy national growth.

The Commissioner said the Australian government was committed to sharing with Ghana what they have to help the young people of Ghana to enhance socioeconomic development.

Nana Bosoma Asor-Nkrawiri II, in his welcome address joyfully commended the Australian government for the support through the Office of Mr. Gregory and his predecessor Mr. Andrews Barnes to push Ghana’s developmental agenda through youth capacity building for self employment.
