NCCE educates skills training apprentices on core values of a Ghanaian citizen

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) on Thursday sensitized trainees and masters of the Sunyani Youth Development Association (SYDA) on core values of a Ghanaian citizen.
Mr. Peter Gyesi, the Deputy Bono Regional Director of the NCCE said the populace ought to be well informed about their role and duties as citizens of the country.
That would contribute to accelerating holistic nation building, saying, patriotism is one of the key factors every citizens must know as responsibility, he added.

The education and sensitization covered topics such as sense of patriotism, hard work, respect for the elderly, respect one another and protection of public properties.
Other areas included environmental cleanliness, volunteer to be an active citizen, uncovering criminalities and distancing themselves from the use of drugs.
Mr. Gyesi implored them to cooperate with the security agencies to protect lives and properties of the entire citizenry.
The sensitization was organized by SYDA and target beneficiaries were trainees in fashion designing, hair dressing, beauty and cosmetics, smock weaving, auto mechanics and others trades with apprentices.
