Madam Fati Line Lam, the Sunyani East Constituency Women Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party on Sunday held an entrepreneurship skills training workshop for the Sunyani East branch Women Organizers.
The training was to improve the livelihoods of the families of the beneficiaries and subsequently the entire society so that they can meaningfully contribute to the progress of the NDC party.
She said the women and youth wings remains the solid backbone of the party, hence needs to be empowered.
This was at a maiden “Entrepreneurship Workshop, Thanksgiving and Get Together” program organized for the branch Women Organizers as a process of lacing their boots to begin moves that would help the party attain power in the 2024 general elections, Mad. Fati Kine Lam stated.
The one-day event that trained about 40 beneficiaries in soap and detergents making to boost their socioeconomic status was under the theme: “Women In Politics; The Pride Of National Development”.
Mad. Fati Kine Lam was optimistic the move would increase their commitments, support and love to work assiduously and contribute both financially and physically to the NDC not only in the Sunyani East Constituency, but the Bono region and Ghana in general.
There were about 250 branch Women Organizers and the interested persons were trained specifically in liquid soap, shower gel and parazone making.
Madam Kine Lam hoped to expand the training for the benefits of more women in the Constituency and facilitate self-help start up contribution for the beneficiaries to get seed capital to create jobs for themselves and help their existing businesses to thrive.
In an interview, Mrs. Victoria Amoah, the resource person who is also into pastries baking noted the area has a lot of economic benefits, therefore encourage beneficiaries of the training to work with what they lent.
She said the soap making business has potential to help solve the unemployment problems in the country, therefore urged them to use the right quantities of measurement for manufacturing and ensure only quality products are sold out to consumers.
