The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources has deployed nationwide guards (unidentified) to monitor and check indiscriminate waste disposal.
The sector Minister, Dr. Freda Prempeh therefore warned the public to be mindful and dispose their household waste properly, saying culprits would be held responsible.
She told the media on Friday at Duayaw Nkwanta, during her working visit to the Tano North Municipal capital of the Ahafo region.
On the sidelines of sanitation inspection tour in the area, Dr. Freda Prempeh, also the Member of Parliament for the Constituency observed it is critical for every household across the country to get toilet facility.
Enforcement of the directive, the Minister said is capable of solving national sanitation problems, saying, toilet situations are critical and needed urgent attention in Ghana.
In that regard, Dr. Freda Prempeh awarded contracts for the construction of ultramodern toilet facilities in the areas to improve the health and sanitation situations of the people of Tano North.
On the tour to sanitation sites in Techire, Jerusalem, Buokukruwa and Duayaw Nkwanta enclaves, the Minister together with the Zoom lion Ghana Limited evacuated more than thirteen hipped refuse.
The hipped refuses of 50 and 100 years were causing health and sanitation hazard to residents, Madam Angelina Teiko, a resident said and thanked the Minister for the endeavor.
