Goaso SDA Basic school lack computers for ICT education
Goaso, December 23, 2022
The Seventh Day Adventist basic school in Goaso, the Ahafo regional capital needs computers for the academic progress of the school.
In a visit, the school with population of more than 1500 can not boast of even one computer for studies, a critical situation impeding academic excellence.
Pastor Daniel Brafi, the Head Pastor of the SDA Church in the area on Thursday expressed worry that the students have not experienced practical ICT section before, because the school lack computers.
According to him, “the children depend on the mercies of God to write the subject in their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) every year and you can imagine the results”.
Pastor Brafi quizzed how can this children learn and master in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education?
He pleaded with the Ghana Education Service, the SDA Church, NGOs, Cooperate bodies and philanthropists to come to the aid of the school for children in the area to get the required academic standards.
Efforts to reach the education directorate in the area was futile.
