Sunyani Manhemaa Explores Possibilities To Push Forward The City’s Progress

Nana Akosua Duah Asor Brayie II, the Paramount Queen Mother (Manhemaa) of the Sunyani Traditional Area is exploring fundamentals and possibilities for holistic development of the Municipality.

She is embarking on working visit to various communities and electoral areas in Sunyani to interact with opinion leaders such as assembly members, religious leaders, sub-Chiefs, youth groups, women associations and other relevant individuals in the Municipality.

Discussions were on underlined challenges and available opportunities to be exploited together with the stakeholders for the progress of Sunyani as well as wishing them a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Speaking to the Council of Zongo Chiefs in Sunyani on Friday, Nana Duah Asor Brayie II expressed determination and willingness to ensure strong and effective collaboration between the Traditional Council, Zongo Chiefs, Assembly members and other community leaders to adequately address identified challenges facing education, economic and the general progress of Sunyani.

She assured her outfit would  establish a foundation to support and push forward quality education of particularly the less privileged in areas of Technical/Vocational and artisanal training to unlock every potential in the Municipality.

The assurance was following a scholarship for technical education students request made by Alhaji Baba Seidu, the Bono Regional deputy Chief Imam.

The Imam explained educational support for such individuals would contribute greatly to reducing activities that were breeding young boys and girls engaging themselves in robberies, drugs, burgling and other social vices that could threat peace and security.
