Youth Development Association (SYDA), has on Saturday, 15th June 2019, engaged opinion leaders of Nkrankrom, a farming community near Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality on a Quest to Sensitize the Public on the menace of irregular migration and the way forward to end it. It was also to introduce SYDA and its holistic developmental activities of youth empowerment for self employment opportunities to the community. The consultation and sensitization to end illegal migration was in collaboration with Initiative Black & White, Ghana and Germany, a non governmental organization base in Ghana and Germany. The meeting brought together family heads, representatives and members of associations and some individuals in the area. After the meeting, SYDA pay homage to the Chief (Odikro) of the area, Abraham Nii Lanquey the first. The chief applauded SYDA for the initiative and affirmed his support for the move to support national growth.
