8 candidates from SYDA sit for the March 2023 NVTI exams

The Sunyani Youth Development Association (SYDA) has prepared and presented eight (8) candidates to sit for the March 2023 National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Ghana TVET Service Testing Division.
They are the first batch trainees of the Association to take the national and international standard exams, and comprise of seven (7) females and a male from the textile manufacturing, sewing and auto mechanics departments of the Association.
The SYDA candidates were among a total of 1600 candidates who sat for the Proficiency one (1) and two (2) examinations.
Mr. Kingsley Sarpong, the NVTI coordinator in charge of the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions told this writer in an interview that the candidates were from 21 institutions.
They took the exams in areas including dress making and tailoring, textile manufacturing, cookery, motor vehicle mechanic and electricals, carpentry, general electricals, masonry and others, Mr. Sarpong explained.
He was excited about high increase in enrollment this year, but worried the office has no vehicle to ease monitoring and supervission at some corridors of the regions.
