The Sunyani Youth Development Association (SYDA) has given its youth empowerment training centre to support the 2021 nationwide COTVET examinations.

According to Mr. Akomea Sakyi, secretary for the association, this is part of the association’s contribution to national development, particularly youth in artisanal training.

Speaking in an interview on Sunday, he noted artisanal skills training is one of the essential sectors of the nation because of its employment potentials, hence the Association’s commitment to support in that regard.

The centre on Saturday hosted the April 2021 candidates of the Council for Technical Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) examination for apprentices of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA).

The candidates were the 2018 to 2021 batch of the GNTDA apprentice who sat for the April 2021 COTVET exams.

A total of 380 candidates took the trade test oral and practical proficiency exams in the Bono Region.
