Transport Fares To Go Down by 15.3% From Monday

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has announced transportation fares would be reduced by 15.3%.
A press release issued by the transport operators stated the new fares would take effect from Monday, December 19th 2022.
The release was signed by Mr. Godfred Abulbire, the General Secretary, GPRTU of TUC, Ghana and Mr. Emmanuel Ohene Yeboah, Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC).
The fares covers Taxis, Intra-city (tro-tro), Intercity (Long Distance) and Haulage, the release explained.
It “request all commercial Transport Operators to comply with the new fares and post same at their loading terminals”.
